Dancers as Athletes

Title: Dancers as Athletes

On this episode, we interview Jessica Davis who is a PT at Tri State Orthopedics in Pennsylvania. She is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist as well as a classically trained ballet dancer who danced for several years with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Currently, she enjoys working with dancers, gymnasts and athletes of all ages, and is the preferred provider for the Slippery Rock University Dance Department. She is also a fellow with Evidence in Motion!

Our mission: On Physiotherapy Performance Perspectives (PPP), Jenna and Marissa interview Physical Therapists who specialize in and love treating performing artists. In this monthly podcast, we aim to help performing artists gain a better understanding of how their body works, how to reduce risk of injury, what Physical Therapy for performing artists entails, and how to maximize performance potential.
