On this episode, Sheree DiBiase is interviewed. Sheree DiBiase, PT is the sole owner of Lake City Physical Therapy, PA with three private, outpatient clinics in the northern Idaho and eastern WA region. She has been self-employed for over 32 years and bought her first practice when she was 25 years old. She graduated from Loma Linda University, School of Physical Therapy in 1984. She was an Adjunct Professor of Kinesiology and Gait Training at Loma Linda University, School of Physical Therapy for 7 years in the PT and PTA programs. She ran the International Education Institute for physical therapy continuing education, which held courses teaching Norwegian manual therapy techniques in the late 80’s. She specializes in Women’s Health and Wellness, with a breast cancer, oncology lymphedema management certification and pelvic health care specialization She continues to train athletes over their lifespan and worked in conjunction with the Kerlan and Jobe Clinic In LA for years before moving to the northwest. She was the Coeur d’Alene Ballet pre-professional program Physical Therapist, along with her PTA and they were involved in the use of the modified Dance/USA Pre-screening program at the start of the program and then took care of their dancers throughout the year of training, providing them with physical therapy care, educational instruction and teaching them “Body Talk”. Their company trained approximately 6 hours a day, 5 days a week doing technical and conditioning work in hopes of auditioning for a national company in 9-10 months. One of their dancers went on to dance for the Pre-professional program at the Portland Ballet, one went to the Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle and one is with a Modern Dance Troupe. They ranged in age from 12-19 years old. She and her staff enjoyed working with the dance community and hope to continue to do so.
